First there was winter vagina , where apparently chilly temperatures can cause a "drought" down there.
Now another theory on how the seasons impact our private parts has emerged – and it’s bad news for you and your little fella.
The cold weather can cause penises to shrink, decrease erections and cause difficulty reaching orgasm , a sexpert has warned.
"The blood vessels in the penis shut down because of the cold temperature," Annabelle Knight, sex and relationship expert for Lovehoney, told Metro.co.uk .
Cold temps can cause penises to shrink
- Doctors baffled after man gets 23-inch sex toy stuck inside himself – and they can’t get it out
"Men can expect their penis to shrivel by up to 50% in length and 20% to 30% in girth when the weather gets chilly."
Annabelle added that in colder climes, the body redirects heat and energy normally available for the peen to vital organs in the middle of your body.
"Your body has to reduce blood flow to your appendages – your fingers, toes, and your penis. The testicles also retract and rise closer to the rest of the body so they can also stay warm".
Basically it’s the total opposite of ‘ summer penis ‘, where doctors confirmed that hot weather causes the penis to appear larger after a spate of reports from chuffed men.

Size isn’t the only thing affected by the changing seasons.
Annabelle said that the cold weather also "desensitises" the penis, which means it’s less responsive to the touch.
It can also cause men to take longer to orgasm, not just because they feel physically cold, but because feeling chilly is "distracting", Annabelle added.
While none of this is ideal, it’s really not the end of the world. People have always found ways to have sex no matter what’s going on with the weather.
We recommend you grab a few extra blankets if you’re thinking about getting frisky with your partner.
