You should have called De Gea! Sanchez drops huge bag of Doritos on his way out of Tesco

Alexis Sanchez endured a moment to forget on Wednesday as he dropped a huge bag of crisps after a trip to the supermarket.

The 29-year-old spent around 40 minutes in the Tesco score in Altrincham before the incident, which was spotted by photographers.

Coming out of the supermarket, Sanchez fumbled a large packet of Doritos before scrambling to pick them up.

It was a gaffe his Manchester United team-mate, goalkeeper David de Gea, almost certainly wouldn’t have made, and outlined exactly why Sanchez plays further forward on the field.

However, the £35million signing from Arsenal quickly rectified his mistake and placed the bag in his supermarket trolley that was also full of food and plants.

The Chilean was then pictured getting into Bentley Bentayga car – worth around £150,000 – before leaving the Altrincham store to return home.

On the pitch, Sanchez has endured a mixed start to the campaign with United, starting against Leicester and Burnley but only making the bench in the 3-0 home defeat to Spurs.

But after registering an assist in the win at Turf Moor last time around, the former Arsenal man will hope to keep his place in Jose Mourinho’s team for the trip to Watford on Saturday
